The Dickson Beach House is a delightful timber beach house with a pyramid timber roof and pivoting shutter windows that open up to breath taking views of the beach and headland. The house is set just above high tide and is one of only three small structures on this isolated part of the coast. Built in 1966, it is state heritage listed building, but over the years has needed upgrade.   Dickson Rothschild designed and coordinated the upgrade of the Dickson Beach House including off grid solar power and off-grid water and sewerage systems, and the renovation of the bathroom. The upgrades achieved comfort and environmental-conscious solutions, whilst retaining the idyllic simple living of the original building. Local Council was also successfully lobbied to secure a long-term license for use within this unique coastal setting.
